The objective of the charity is to improve survival rates by raising awareness about the importance of early Cancer screening. Helping to provide the people of East Lancashire with the facilities, support services and equipment to make Cancer diagnosis more readily accessible, enabling quicker treatment.

We are raising funds for a new Endoscopy Unit at Burnley General Hospital. We have been working alongside the East Lancashire Health Trust to ensure that this is the area that will most directly help us achieve our goal of saving more lives through early assessment and diagnosis of Cancer.

The Endoscopy Unit will help facilitate in the region of an extra 5,000 sessions to be undertaken per year, helping to reduce waiting times, diagnose more people and save more lives.

The cornerstone of CARES is that money raised locally stays local to our community, the money raised by the people of East Lancashire directly benefits them.
